Jonathan McCollum

Jonathan McCollum is a licensed clinical social worker licensed in Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas who was born and raised in Arlington, TX in between the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Following his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harding University in 2005, he began his work in the mental health field working in residential treatment facilities, day treatment programs, and community/in-home services with children, adolescents, and families. In 2009, while pursuing his master’s degree he interned at a state psychiatric hospital, a medical facility’s behavioral health unit, and an intensive outpatient program over the course of 2 years. Upon completion of his master’s degree in social work from East Carolina University in 2011, he worked for Wayne UNC hospital in Goldsboro, NC serving at the hospital’s inpatient behavioral unit and intensive outpatient program. In this role, he coordinated and facilitated group therapy, individual therapy, coordination of resources, and discharge planning. In 2014 he worked for Peninsula Behavioral Health, a division of Parkwest Medical Center as an outpatient clinician working in community mental health in the Knoxville, TN area for over 7 years with patients of all ages, both with individual and group therapy. He has been involved in private practice since 2018, as well as working with a remote company serving the mental health needs of college students since 2021. In his spare time, he enjoys being a pretend horse for his children, spending time outdoors with family, conversations with his wife over coffee, and reading books on Biblical faith, neuropsychology, social sciences, watching movies, and listening to music.
